So the end has finally arrived. The Mayan prophecy has come and gone yet nothing has really changed. Well, that’s not exactly true.
Some of you may have noticed that my domain has changed from SEOfosho.com to a personal one. This was mainly due to a very inconsiderate soul hacking into my website with a PHP exploit and essentially destroying most of the data within (including my other sites).
This was hugely annoying but I’m over it now. I promise.
I was lucky enough to meet some great people this year at conferences such as BrightonSEO, others in a more casual setting and even made it down to London to meet some of the new UK Blueglass team. Thanks to all of you guys, you have no idea how much I have learnt from you all in the last 12 months.
Fingers crossed that I can meet more great people in 2013…especially those I’ve spoken to regularly on twitter.
So back to the reason for this quick post about…the end.
Today marks my last day as an employee of Liberty Marketing as I move into a new exciting role at Box UK to work with my good friend Steve Morgan.
I met some really great people at Liberty that managed to keep me sane during my “SEO moments” but I made the decision to leave and start anew in 2013. The original plan was to freelance for a while but when the role at Box UK popped up I had to go for it. I’m very much looking forward to the new challenge.
I am also working with some great people to try to get a local Cardiff based digital conference off the ground. It’s very much in it’s infancy but stay tuned for that one.
Okay so it isn’t the end of the world but even the Mayan’s agree that it is an end of an era and hopefully the start of something bigger.
So in true South Wales style…have a Merry Christmas and i’ll see you New Year!
